I miss central Illinois a lot, but it's really great to see Dan so much and experience new things up here in the Chicagoland area.
Here are some of the new things that I am experiencing:
-waiting for really slow trains to cross the street that cars are supposed to drive on
-being honked at by irritated drivers
-being stuck in authentic rush hour traffic for an hour and a half
-seeing 800 588 2300 EMPIRE commercials on tv
-watching the Cubs and the Bears
-not walking anywhere
-being addicted to Starbucks (I generally order a tall nonfat no foam not too hot latte.)
-having to look up every destination on google maps
-having a job. Kind of.
Here are some of the things I miss about home:
-my family
-corn
-driving slowly and not getting honked at
-campus, especially the quad and its squirrels
-knowing where places and streets are
-GREAT tasting Urbana water
-hippies
-Papa Del's, Curtis Orchard, Za's, Dos Reales, the Music Building, Wheatfield Park, Krannert, the Beverly on bucket night, Meadowbrook, and Espresso Royale.
Hey, wait a minute. I already read this on Boardix. : )
